MARY A. BRYAN was born near New Holland, Ohio, Sept. 23, l837, and

departed this life Jan. 3l, l906, she being 68 years, 4 months and 8

days of age. She was united in marriage to MARTIN CESLER, Oct 4, l855,

who preceded her to the great beyond. She was converted a number of

years ago but was not satisfied to unite with any church until she found

the Missionary Baptist of which she was a faithful member for 22 years.

She was also clerk of the church for a number of years until her health

failed so she could not attend, which she regretted and often said if

she could get well enough to go and help the church, but did not think

she would. She had done all she could. It was truly said of her that

she went about doing good. Was there anyone sick or in distress, she

was always ready to lend a helping hand. She leaves three children and

seven grandchildren to mourn the loss of a loving mother and

grandmother. Her children are J.F. CESLER, of Leon; MRS. D.B. GUTHRIE,

Bloomington, Neb.; and MRS. G.W. PRYOR, Leon.

Her funeral was preached from the l2th chapter of Hebrews selected by

herself. The church has lost one of its most estimable members and

efficient workers, and the family a devoted mother.
