Subject: OBITUARY - ISABELLA (JORDAN) CANADY.

ISABELLA JORDAN was born July l4, l826, in Indiana, and died May 4, l900

at Davis City, aged 64 years, 9 months, 2l days. She moved with her

parents to Decatur County in l844, and was married to WESLEY CANADY,

February ll, l858. To them were born three children: MARY ELIZABETH,

JACOB JOSHUA and LYDDA ALICE. JACOB JOSHUA died May 5, l898.

She and her husband united with the United Brethren Church soon after

their marriage and lived faithful members until death. The funeral

services were held at her residence l mile west of town last Saturday

afternoon, Rev. Perron, of the U.B. Church delivering the funeral

sermon. The casket was strewn with flowers, tokens of love and esteem

of friends. Her body was laid to rest by her husband in the Davis City

Cemetery and her soul joined him in glory.
