Subject: OBITUARY - LIDA (HULSE) CAMPBELL.

LIDA HULSE CAMPBELL was born in Cayuga County, N.Y., August ll, l848,

and died at Pleasanton July 3, l900. At the age of twelve years she

moved with her parents to Van Buren County, Mich., where she grew to

womanhood. She attended the Michigan Normal School and fitted herself

for school work. After teaching several years in the public schools,

she married Elder DUNCAN CAMPBELL, October l5, l876. Soon after, they

moved to Iowa and located on a farm near Pleasanton. To this union were

born ten children, six of them having preceded the mother to the better

land.

The deceased was united with the L.D.S. Church in the summer of l876.

She was a faithful worker and at the time of her death was

Superintendent of the L.D.S. Sunday School. Funeral services were held

at the home by Elder M.M. Turpin assisted by Elders Anderson and Weld.
