MRS. MAGDALEN CALDWELL, died at her home in Des Moines, Iowa, April l7,
l902. She was a daughter of JOHN A. and ANN EDWARDS, was born October
l8, l853, at Centerville, Ohio. A short but very impressive service was
held at the home in Des Moines by Rev. E.B. Linn, then funeral services
were held at the Presbyterian Church at Lawrence, Kansas, by the pastor
Rev. Willis J. Banks, after which the body was laid in Oak Hill Cemetery
by the side of her husband.

She united with the Presbyterian Church at Albia, many years ago, under
Rev. J.M. Batcelers ministry here, was also married by him to J.S.
CALDWELL. She was a true and faithful worker in the church during her
life. She was very cheerful during her trials and sickness of the last
three years. She leaves two sons and one daughter, WILLIS, WALTER and
EDNA to mourn the loss of mother.

Mrs. CALDWELL was a sister of MRS. A.J. ALLEN of this city.
