DIED; On the 20th of January, l895, JOHN ORAN, son of MR. and MRS. W.J. CUMMINGS, aged 10 years, 7 months and 24 days. Little ORAN was sick seven days with diphtheria. Little did we think he would be taken so soon. ORAN was a bright little boy and loved by all who knew him, but death has spread his sombre wings over the entire neighborhood, where ORAN and ELSIE were known and loved. No pen can portray the terrible grief of their parents, Sister and brother, to whom the blow came so unexpectedly. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends for the loss of their dear children.
No more we'll see thy joyous smile
Within our earthly home,
No more thy loving voice shall hear
In reverential song.
Here we must often part
In sorrow and in pain,
But we shall still be joined in heart
And hope to meet again.
This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.
--T.E. and A.B. CUMMINGS.
