MR. JOHN M. CLARK, died at his home in this place on September 3, l903, at the age of 56 years and three days. Six days before his death he was kicked in the head by a horse, as stated by us in last week's issue. His lower jaw was broken and his scalp badly injured. Having recently suffered a long illness he was in no condition to endure such a shock, hence the fatal result. We regret to have to chronicle this as one among the fatal accidents that have recently occurred. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
MR. CLARK was born in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada, August 3l, l847. He and MISS HANNA WEEDMARK were united in marriage, September l2, l883.
They removed to Horsey, Michigan, about l884, and came to Lamoni in l896. MR. CLARK was esteemed for his honesty and faithfulness in daily life.
He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. Elder H.A. Stebbins was called upon to preach the sermon, and Elder John Smith to have charge of the services.
