MARGARET CAVENDER was born in Morgan County, Illinois, April 23d, l86l, and departed this life September 4th, l902, at the age of 4l years, 4 months and l2 days. She was united in marriage to HARRISON CAVENDER February l9th, l880. To this union were born 9 children -- JOHNNIE, MAE, HARRY, ROREY, EARL, MATTIE, LILLIE, SADIE and HOWARD. JOHNNIE preceded his mother in infancy and the rest of the children are left to mourn the loss of one that none but the motherless know, besides a large family. She leaves two sisters, three brothers and a host of friends who will miss the face of a kind and loving mother and a true and noble friend.

The funeral was conducted by the writer at the house, and the body laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery.
