Donald Eugene Cole, son of James Alvis Cole and Minnie Armina Foland was born
Donald received his education in the Clarke Schools and graduated

Soon after their marriage, Donald began to farm with his father
and later he and Virginia farmed the land themselves. In 1973, Don and Virginia
purchased two laundries in Osceola and then moved from the farm to their home
in Osceola. He was a member of the Farmer's Co-Op, serving on the board for
many years, a former 4-H leader and also a member of the First Christian Church
in Osceola.
Don also owned a dune buggy that he acquired from Dan that he
enjoyed tinkering with over the years. It was actually well known in the
community and signified that spring was here when Don would take it out for the
first time each year. It was a source of fun for the grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, calling it "Grandpa Don's Fun Buggy". Later,
when Don, because of health, had to give up golfing he kept the golf cart and
the great grandchildren took many rides in it. Don and Virginia even rode in
the golf cart from their home to the little league diamonds to watch the great
grandkids play ball recently.
Don and Virginia enjoyed many trip and bus tours over the years,
traveling to many places. They also enjoyed dancing and in later years have
enjoyed playing cards with friends. He also enjoyed his daily trips to the
