"AUNT LUCINDA" as she was affectionately known in Davis City, was born in the State of New York, Feb. l3, l826. Her maiden name was BARTLETT. She was married Dec. 25, l845 to RODGER BISSELL, who survives her.

They emigrated from New York to Illinois, where they resided about 9 years, then removing to Iowa about l873, and settling in Davis City, where they have lived most of the time since. They had lived in Mo. less than two years.

She had been a sufferer from stomach trouble for several years, but seemed better in August, and came near attending the Davis City Reunion but finally decided to wait until Sept., but when "UNCLE RODGER"returned from the Reunion he found her worse, and she died on the fourth day after.

She was the mother of three children, two daughters who preceded her to the other shore, and one son, WILLIAM, who lives near Pawnee, Mo.

She was of a loving, cheerful disposition, and always had a kind word and pleasant smile for all, and had a host of warm friends who loved and respected her and will long feel her loss.

She was baptized into the Josephite branch of the Latter Day Saints.
