THOMAS BARNES died at his home in Tuskeego, Iowa, February l6, l902, at the age of 44 years, l0 months and 26 days. About l879 he was converted and joined the church of his choice, of which he has lived a consistent and faithful member. He was married twice, his first wife preceded him some years ago. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his loss.

MR. BARNES had been sick for a year and a half. The disease baffled the skill of all the physicians that were called. He maintained a confident trust in his Lord and Master all through his sickness and finally on the l6th, he died in the triumph of a living faith. We mourn not as those who have no hope, for we expect to meet our brother again. Funeral services were held at Tuskeego, February l8, and his remains were laid to rest in the Woodmansee Cemetery. Services conducted by the writer.
