EDNA MARIE AKERS

Edna Marie, second daughter of Edgar and Minnie Williams, was born near

Decatur, Iowa, August 5, 1903, and died at the Decatur County Hospital,

August 25, 1969, at the age of 66 years and 20 days.

She resided in Burrell and Bloomington. Townships and was educated at the

McNeil rural school.

June 21, 1922, she was united in marriage to Len Toney. To this union three

children were born; Dolly Marie, Dale Edferd and Doyle Dean.

September 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to Charles S. Akers to which

union was born Dee Lee Spencer, who died in infancy.

She was united with Christ at the old Terre Haute Church in 1941.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Dale and Dee Lee; her father; sister,

Hazel; and first husband.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; daughter, Dolly Dickinson, Iowa City;

son, Doyle; mother, Minnie Williams of Westview Acres, Leon; eight

grandchildren, Douglas Ray of San Francisco, Randall Lee Dickinson of Iowa

City Beverly Jean, Judy Kay and Ray Dean Toney of Lamoni and Vicky Lynne,

Gary Dean and Bobby Ray Toney of near Decatur.
