Subject: OBITUARY - SARAH A.(GLENN)ALISON.

SARAH A. GLENN, wife of H.J. ALISON, died May ll, l899, at her home 2

l/2 miles northwest of Van Wert at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 8

days. She was born in Harrison County, Ind., August 3, l836, and united

with the Church of Christ at the age of l6. She was married to H.J.

ALISON in March, l854. To this union were born nine children, two dying

in childhood. Four sons and three daughters remain to mourn their loss.

The husband and father died February 2l, l897. Sister ALISON has

suffered with rheumatism for nearly eight years. For seven years she

was confined to her bed helpless. During her long illness, the writer

visited her several times and found her trusting in God's promises.

Funeral services were held at the residence by the writer. The

relatives of the deceased wish to thank the good people for their

kindness during the protracted illness of the departed one and the

sympathy and respect shown.
