OBITUARY

 ARMEL DALE ADAMS

 

Armel Dale ADAMS, son of George Franklin and Ella (HOPKINS) ADAMS, was born in Grand River, September 29, 1906, and passed away may 4, 1991 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 84 years.

 

Armel attended the Tennessee [community] schools. On November 2, 1919, he was united in marriage to Alberta ZIMMERMAN. They farmed near Grand River until 1975 when they retired and moved to Osceola, Iowa. Armel loved to walk and enjoyed meeting friends for coffee or breakfast.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Gladys PENCE and a brother Gale.

                            

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 61 years, Alberta; four brothers; Russell ADAMS of Grand River, Iowa; Truman ADAMS of Orient, Iowa; Rolla ADAMS of Windsor, Colorado; and Harlan ADAMS of Grand River, Iowa; as well as many other relatives and friends.

 

Interment was in the Grand River Cemetery.
