Mr. and Mr. (Mrs.) Thos. KONKLIN's children gave them quite a surprise last Friday, May 12, in honor of their 34th wedding anniversary by present them each with a fine chair. The surprise was gotten up by Mary and Lila at home, and MR. Clarence KONKLIN, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. KONKLIN, Mr. and Mrs. Ed KONKLIN, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. GARTON, all of Brewster, Kansas, and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. MCDOWELL, of Woodland. Mrs. KONKLIN's chair was a fine willow rocker and Mr. KONKLIN's a fine revolving cane bottom rocker. The two costing $11. The parents feel grateful toward their children for presenting them with present they can enjoy with comfort and ease in their old days. May they live to enjoy many more anniversaries.
