Friends and intimate acquaintances were surprised last Friday by receiving announcement cards of the marriage of MR. HARRY J.VOGT and MISS SUSIE PARRISH on New Year's Day. The young folks failed to apprise their friends of their intentions and on New Year's Day quietly repaired to the residence of Rev. G.D. Gurley, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church, who performed the ceremony. They attended a social gathering at the home of Miss Millie Avery that evening, and none of the guests suspected that a bride and groom were with them.

The groom is one of our popular young business men, who has grown to manhood in Leon, respected by all. He has twice been honored by being elected a member of the city council.

The bride is one of Leon's bright and charming young ladies who has won the friendship and esteem of a large circle of friends since coming to this city.

MR. and MRS. HARRY J. VOGT will be at home to their friends after today in the cozy cottage on north Main Street, recently erected by Jacob Hawk.

Although a little late, The Reporter joins their many friends in wishing the happy couple a long and prosperous life.
