MR. RUE B. STONE and MISS MARY A. SPRINGER were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. J.G. SPRINGER, in Bloomington Township, at 5:30 o'clock, Christmas evening.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. I.T. FLINT, an uncle of the bride, in the presence of about sixty relatives and friends. While the beautiful strains of a wedding march were being played by Miss Mary Gates, the contracting parties entered the parlor and took their places under an arch decorated with holly and cut flowers, where the vows were taken.
After congratulations were extended, a bountiful wedding repast was served.
Thus two more of our most worthy young people have entered the matrimonial state. The groom is one of our most popular and well to do young farmers, and in his bride he has won a beautiful and accomplished young lady, who will be of great assistance to him in the journey through life.
Many beautiful and costly presents were received by the happy couple, fitting tokens of the love and esteem of their friends.
MR. and MRS. STONE will go to housekeeping on the groom's fine farm in Decatur Township. Scores of friends extend heartiest congratulations to them.
The guests from abroad were: Miss Grace Gray, of Maryville, Mo., Mr. Oliver Springer, of Indianola and Mr. J. Greer Springer, of Des Moines.
