At the residence of the bride's parents, near Tuskeego, Sunday, April 24th, l898, occurred the marriage of ETTA, only daughter of MR. and MRS. E.M. STEWART, to LUTHER ROBERTS, of Elliston, Iowa. While the strains of the wedding march from "Lohengrin" played by Miss Florence Edmondson, floated on the air the happy couple entered and took their places where Rev. Long, using the short but impressive ceremony of the United Brethren Church united them in the holy bonds of matrimony. After congratulations the guests partook of an excellent dinner prepared by the bride's mother and MRS. S.S. KEOWN. Except a few of the most intimate friends of the bride, only relatives of the contracting parties were present. The bride was beautifully dressed in a changeable silk dress trimmed in white lace. Her second dress was of drab cashmere trimmed in white silk.
The Groom is a well-to-do farmer living near Elliston. The bride has lived in this county from infancy and is known and loved by a large circle of friends. They are a young couple in every way worthy of the best success in life. We wish them a long and happy life. MR. and MRS. ABE ROBERTS, parents of the groom, gave a reception Monday in honor of the bridal pair.
