MISS CORA, the daughter of MR. and MRS. GEORGE W. DAVIS north of town, and MR. ALVIN STARR of near Des Moines were united in marriage last Tuesday, Eld. M.M. Turpen officiating.

The groom is a stranger to the people here, this being his first visit, but he comes highly recommended as being a Christian gentleman. He is a minister of the Advent Church which work he will continue in. The bride was raised in this vicinity and possesses the qualification of making an amiable and loving companion. The Index joins in the congratulations.
