MR. N.G. SONNER, of Wakefield, Neb., was married to MISS FLORENCE MCGINNIS, at Pine Grove Farm, the home of MR. and MRS. JOHN W. LONG, near Leon, Iowa, on Wednesday evening, June l2, l90l, at 8 o'clock, by Rev. Ilsley, about thirty guests being present. The wedding march was played by MRS. FRANK LONG. MESSRS. GEO. GARDNER and LORNE LONG with MISSES LILLIAN MCGINNIS and CARRIE ALBAUGH acted as groomsmen and bridesmaids, the ladies being dressed in white with white kid slippers and wearing white roses. The beautiful ring ceremony of the Presbyterian Church was used.

After congratulations, came the supper of strawberries, cake and ice cream, followed by music and an evening's entertainment of varied amusements, in which the LONG family endeavored to make it as pleasant as possible for their guests, not forgetting the reception the young men of Center gave the newly wedded couple in the form of a lively charivari.

The bride and groom are true representatives of the enterprising States of Iowa and Nebraska in which they have lived. The bride had lost her parents and had been making her home with the LONGS for about a year. She is a woman of determination and energy, having disposed of a part of her estate and schooled herself. They go to a home in Nebraska built and improved by MR. SONNER. MISS LILLIAN MCGINNIS, of Farragut, Iowa, a sister of the bride, MISS ORRA LONG, of Albia, and MR. BROWN and sister, of Grand River, were present. The bride and groom were the recipients of many valuable and appropriate presents showing the esteem in which they were held by their friends. We wish them happiness and prosperity and blessed with a civilization free from debt system, wars for gain and in the name of religion and live to see people married in the name of the State and humanity.

On Thursday, MR. and MRS. FRANK GARDNER, of Ocean Farm, relatives of the bride, gave an infair dinner in honor of the occasion and entertained a few of the near relatives. MR. and MRS. SONNER took the train at Van Wert for Fremont County, where they will visit for a few days and then leave for their home in Nebraska.
