This is another article taken from the scrapbook of my husband's great grandmother. As I have said before I don't have any definite dates, but they seem to be between 1870 and 1880.

'Ceph Snyder was married at Cainsville, Mo., a few weeks ago to Miss Josie Croft. He brought her to Leon and walked her out to Jim Vaughn's, wher4e she has been living since. 'Ceph worked here at his trade a few weeks and concluded to begin housekeeping, his mother furnishing him with a "settin' out". He borrowed what money his wife had to go to Grand River and buy a stove, &c; but he finally brought up with his friends to Indiana, where he expects to sponge his living this winter.--He wrote to his wife that he had not abandoned her--only gone off to spend the winter. He will probably fat up and return in the spring when his wife has made a raise. She has returned to her friends.--'Ceph never could bear to work much between meals, but getting married has not helped him out much.
