MARRIED
At the home of the Bride's Mother, at Whittier, Nebraska, on September 2lst, Isaac S. McMurtrey of Van Wert, Iowa and Miss Elsie L. Price of Whittier, Nebraska, at high noon. Miss Irene Miltonberger of North Platte played the wedding march and the contracting parties entered the parlor and listended to the impressive ceremony performed by Elder H.C. Clinton of Merna, which united them in the holy bonds of matrimony.
The bride wore a handsome gown of cream silk mull trimmed in white applique and a lace collar. She was attended by two bride's maids, Miss Jennie Cox of Hershey and Martha Johnson of Garfield. The groom was dressed in the conventional black and was attended by William Lane of Myrtle and Lewis Brummet of Whittier, as best men.
The groom is a prosperous young farmer of Decatur County, Iowa. Miss Price was one of Lincoln County's best teachers and we predict for them a happy journey through life. After congratulations about thirty invited guests partook of a sumptuous lap luncheon such as we seldom see in this western country. All that was lacking at this particular hour was "stomach capacity" to contain the good viands prepared for us.
