Last Thursday evening at the home of the groom's parents in this city, occurred the wedding of MR. HARRY S. PENNIWELL and MISS BESSIE M. FISHER, the ceremony being performed by Rev. I.N. Woodward, Pastor of the M.E. Church, only the immediate relatives being present.
The groom is one of Leon's popular young men who has worked in Leon's newspaper offices for a number of years, being employed on the Journal at the present time. His bride during a residence of two years in this city, has won many friends by her grace and amiable disposition and many friends of these young people extend hearty congratulations.
MR. and MRS. PENNIWELL commenced housekeeping the same evening having rented Claud Lorey's cottage on North Church Street. As they had carefully guarded the secret of their marriage, the usual charivari was not given them that evening, but their neighbors saw to it that they were not neglected the next morning.
