MUMMA-SPURRIER

At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Spurrier, of this vicinity, by the Rev. B. F. Miller of Eagleville, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 11, 1893, at 10:30 a.m., Mr. A. G. Mumma of Eagleville to Miss Lizzie Spurrier. Only immediate friends and relatives were present. The wedding march was played by Miss Pearl Hatcher, while the bride's sister Miss Gertie Spurrier, and Park Gregg of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, served as bridesmaid and groomsman.

Many useful and ornamental presents were received, among them being: Complete house furniture from father and mother of bride; an ornamental clock from N.B. Spurrier and wife of North Platte, Nebraska; bed spread, Mr. Frank Spurrier and wife; parlor lamp, Mr. Richard Spurrier and Pearl Hatcher; set of silver knives and forks, teas spoons and table spoons, Miss Gertie Spurrier; silver cake basket, Park Gregg; cut glass castor, Hattie McHenry; silver fruit knives, Emma Scott; pair of towels, Viola Masden, Salem, Iowa; silver pickle castor, Mr. and Mrs. G. Boeger, Davis City, Iowa; gold and silver berry spoon, Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Spurrier and daughter, Wichita, Kansas; bridal roses and bisque statue, Mr. and Mrs. Pierce, Denver, Col; one dozen napkins, Mr. Fred Taylor and wife of Salem, Iowa; bridal souvenir from Mr. and Mrs. James Tailor and Sadie Wilcoxson.

After the ceremony entertainment was given until dinner. During the afternoon the couple went to their future home in Eagleville, where the groom's sister gave a reception in their honor.
