On Wednesday at high noon at the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. J.W. PAXTON, occurred the marriage of their youngest daughter, CALLA DEAN to WALTER E. MILLER. The beautiful ring service was used, Rev. J.Q. Hall performing the ceremony. The parlors were artistically decorated with roses, carnations and smilax, pink and white being the color scheme and the bridal party stood between the double doors. The bride was elegantly attired in a lovely jacket suit of brown voile with a champagne granite crepe waist and wore roses. The groom wore the conventional suit of black. Immediately following the ceremony came felicitations, and at one o'clock a sumptuous dinner was temptingly served in the dining room.
MR. and MRS. MILLER left on the afternoon train for St. Louis, for a ten days sojourn and after July lst they will be "at home" to their many friends in their handsome home on Main Street. Sixty-four invitations were issued and there were about thirty-five guests in attendance. Many beautiful and useful presents were received, as evidence of the high esteem in which this young couple were held among their acquaintances.
The bride is well known in Garden Grove as a charming and attractive young lady of pleasing personality. The groom is the only son of MR. and MRS. G.W. MILLER and has grown to manhood in the Grove. He is a young man of sterling business qualifications and he has a host of friends who join the Express in hearty congratulations and good wishes for a happy and prosperous future.
