MR. OTIS MCKERN and MISS LYDA HUGHES were united in marriage at the M.E. Parsonage last Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, the ceremony being performed by Rev. I.N. Woodward, Pastor of the M.E. Church.

The contracting parties are well and favorably known in this city, and have many friends who wish them much joy and happiness. An infare dinner was tendered them at the home of the groom's parents, MR. and MRS. HENRY MCKERN of north Main Street, on Friday evening, at which a number of the relatives were present.

MR. MCKERN has been employed as a cigar maker in Toby & Beckett's Factory at Albia for some time and will return to that city with his bride this week.
