On Wednesday, March 7, l9l7, at the home of MR. and MRS. C.W. MOORE, occurred the marriage of their only daughter, LILLIE MAY, to MR. DEANE E. STILES, youngest son of MR. and MRS. W.W. STILES. Promptly at l2 o'clock as MISS MARIE GOODMAN, a cousin of the bride, was playing the wedding march, Rev. Weyrauch, Pastor of the Van Wert M.E. Church, followed by little ELVA STILES as ring bearer. MR. RALPH GOODMAN as best man and MRS. ADA GOODMAN as bridesmaid, both cousins of the bride, followed by the bride and groom, entered the parlor and took their places under an arch of white bells.
The bride was charmingly attired in white crepe de chine trimmed in white satin. The groom wore a blue serge suit.
After the congratulations the bride and groom were led to the dining room where a sumptuous dinner was served.
These young people are well known to a large circle of friends, both having attended the Leon High School. They received many useful and valuable presents. There were about forty friends and relatives present. They have gone to housekeeping on a farm five miles north of Leon.
On the following day MR. and MRS. W.W. STILES gave an infare dinner to about thirty guests. The bride and groom received many presents at this gathering. The many friends of this happy young couple join in extending them a long and happy life together.
