Married, at the residence of the bride's father near Grand River, Iowa,

June 2l, l899, at 8 o'clock p.m., MR. THOMAS STAUFFER, of Chicago, Ill.,

and MISS MADGE DALE, of Grand River, Ia., Rev. Geo. E. Mitchell

performing the ceremony. About thirty-five guests were present to

witness the solemn and impressive service. The Grand River orchestra

played the wedding march for the occasion and favored all present with

some very choice music, which was duly appreciated. Quite a good many

presents were given to MR. and MRS. STAUFFER.

MR. STAUFFER is a young man of good moral standing in the community and

has a good position in business at Chicago. MISS MADGE DALE, is the

daughter of MR. and MRS. JOHN DALE, who live 2 l/2 miles south of Grand

River, and was born and raised in Decatur County and is a young woman of

intellect, highly respected by all who know her and will be missed in

the social relation in the home and the community where she has been

raised.

After partaking of the refreshments prepared for the occasion by

skillful hands, and listening to the excellent music, and enjoying each

others' society and the social chat, the guests departed to their homes,

leaving their best wishes with the bride and groom, hoping that they

will have a prosperous journey through life.

MR. and MRS. STAUFFER will be at home after July 24th at 27 Clitton

Ave., Chicago, Ill.
