Decatur County Journal

October l3, l898

At 8 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, occurred the wedding of MR. OLIN

PARTRIDGE and MISS LEDA GOODSPEED, at the home of the bride's parents,

MR. and MRS. H.W. GOODSPEED.

The matrimonial compact was performed by the Rev. Mrs. Gibb of the

Universalist Church. The wedding was attended by a few guests only,

being the relatives and immediate friends of the bridal pair. The house

was tastefully decorated with autumn leaves and cut flowers. The bride

was charmingly attired in a gray traveling suit and the groom wore the

regulation black. The presents were both beautiful and appropriate,

among them being a beautiful gold watch and chain, a gift from the

groom.

During the day many presents were received from abroad. The ceremony

was performed promptly at 8; following the congratulations, a wedding

breakfast was served, after which the bridal pair took their departure,

amid a shower of rice, for Denver via Omaha.

MR. and MRS. PARTRIDGE will be at home to their friends on Linn Street,

after October 20.

The groom is an employee of the C.& N.W., and the bride he has chosen is

fitted to make life's pathway rosy, being one of Boone's most attractive

and highly regarded ladies. They have the best wishes of their many

friends.
