January 3rd, l900, at the residence of Rev. W.H. Hamilton, in Decatur,

occurred the marriage of M. LEROY NAYLOR and CHARLOTTE RYAN, two of Elk

Creek's best young people. The groom is the youngest son of MR. and

MRS. SEAL NAYLOR of Grand River Township, is a promising young farmer

and has the necessary qualifications to make business a success. The

bride, the youngest daughter of MR. and MRS. M. RYAN, both deceased, is

a young lady of charming graces and engaging manners and will brighten

the lonely hearth in the home of one who has chosen her to "carry half

the burden up the hill."
