Decatur County Journal

March 26, l908

Married in this city Wednesday evening, March l8th, at the Presbyterian

parsonage, by Rev. Kunz, Pastor of the Leon Presbyterian Church, WALTER

MOORE and MISS HELEN HAMILTON, both of Leon. The wedding was quiet, and

immediately after the ceremony and congratulations the bridal pair,

accompanied by Clifton Mills and Miss Elva Campbell, departed for the

groom's home south of Leon, where an elegant supper awaited them.

The bride is one of Leon's most popular young ladies, loved and

respected by a host of friends and is well fitted to make a loving and

helpful companion. She was one of Decatur County's most successful

school teachers and won the admiration and praise from all the pupils

and patrons of her shcool. She was very tastefully attired in a costume

of white batiste, elaborately trimmed in valenciennes lace.

The groom is one of Decatur County's most prominent and prospering young

farmers and is encircled by a host of friends. He wore the conventional

black and looked as happy and satisfied as a man should who had won such

a charming wife.

The happy couple will be at home on the groom's farm southeast of Leon

after April lst, and the writer joins with many others in wishing them a

long, prosperous and happy life.
