Decatur County Journal

February 22, l906

FRANK S. MOORE and MISS MARY B. ELLIOTT, two of Decatur County's young

people, were joined in marriage at the home of the bride's parents in

Franklin Township, where a few near relatives gathered to witness the

ceremony at 7 o'clock p.m. February ll, Rev. Sadie Gibbons officiating.

Afterwards we were seated at an attractive table and invited to partake

of the good things that so please the appetite and satisfy the "inner

man."

The groom was born and raised in Decatur County. His parents are among

the oldest settlers in the county. He is an energetic young man whose

charitable disposition will be a power of strength in the experiences of

life.

The bride, a much esteemed and amiable young lady, was born in State

Center, Marshall County, Iowa, where all her youthful years were spent.

She moved with her parents to Decatur County in l903, where she has made

many friends who wish her bon voyage on the sea of life.

These amiable Christian young people will begin life in their new

relation on the farm, and may they ever bask in the sunshine of

happiness and prosperity and bravely pass the clouds and shadows as they

pass by.

A FRIEND.
