A very pretty home marriage was solemnized at the residence of DR. and
MRS. A. BROWN in north Leon last Saturday afternoon at l o'clock. The
contracting parties were MISS MARGARET M. BROWN, of this city, and JOHN
LINDSEY, of Des Moines. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. I.N.
Woodward, Pastor of the M.E. Church, in the presence of only the members
of the family. The bride wore a pretty dress of brown silk and
presented a charming appearance.

The bride is the accomplished daughter of DR. and MRS. A. BROWN and has
lived in Leon nearly all her life. During the session of the legislature
in Des Moines last winter, she served very acceptably as clerk and
stenographer for the committee on public buildings. She will be greatly
missed by Leon young people for she was a universal favorite with all
who knew her.

The groom is the son of WADE LINDSEY and was raised in leon where he has
a host of friends. For several years past he has held a lucrative
position with a prominent business firm in Des Moines. He enjoys to a
marked degree the respect of all who know him.

The happy couple drove to Decatur and took the afternoon train for Des
Moines where they will make their future home. The JOURNAL joins in
congratulations.
