Married, at the bride's home near Decatur on Monday, March 5th, MR.

JONATHAN HELSHER and MISS CAROLINA LUCRETIA SMITH. MR. HELSHER is an

honorably discharged soldier of the U.S. Regular Army and his officers

furnish him excellent recommendations for faithfulness and general good

behavior.

MISS SMITH is a highly accomplished young lady well respected in the

vicinity of her home. She will be greatly missed at home and socially.

Only relatives witnessed the ceremony which was performed by the writer.

The wedding march was played by the bride's sister. The happy couple

boarded the train the same day for Chicago where they will make their

future home.
