Elder Asa Cochran of the L.D.S. Church performed the ceremony which

united the hearts and fortunes of MR. ELMER BROWN and MISS JESSIE KEOWN

last Sunday at high noon at the residence of the bride's parents near

Lamoni. About fifty invited guests were present to witness the marriage

and partake of the wedding dinner which was served immediately after the

ceremony. Sunday evening the bride and groom drove to Leon and on

Monday an infair was held at the residence of the groom's parents, MR.

and MRS. J. M. BROWN. The newly married couple were the recipients of

many useful and valuable presents.

The bride is the daughter of MR. and MRS. S.S. KEOWN, old residents of

the south part of the county, and is spoken of very highly by her

acquaintances. MR. BROWN has lived in Leon for some years and enjoys

the respect of his business associates and friends. He is the

proprietor of the Star Barber Shop and is an upright young man of many

business qualifications.

The bride and groom have already established themselves in a cottage in

north Leon recently built and furnished comfortably for housekeeping.

Those in attendance from Leon were Mesdames F.C. MULLINIX and J.M.

BROWN, ELDER ASA COCCHRAN and JUSTIN BROWN.
