Bernt JOHNSON and Miss Mary Allie BOUTON were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. BOUTON, three miles southwest of Lamoni, Thursday, March 31, at high noon, Elder Frank WELD officiating.

Immediately after the ceremony and congratulations the company, consisting of the immediate friends of the contracting parties, assembled in the dining room where a generous supply of well-prepared viands awaited them. After the feast, they reassembled in the parlors for a few hours of social enjoyment.

The esteem in which the young people are held by their friends was manifested by the large display of both elegant and useful presents in evidence, all of which will add to the attraction and convenience of the happy home.

The happy young couple will make their home on the Lorenzo Hayer farm northwest of town, where the best wishes of the entire community accompany them.
