Elder H.H. HUBBELL, the very popular Pastor of the Christian Church in this city and MISS ELLA VERA HEBENER, daughter of MRS. I.A. HEBENER, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's mother in Des Moines, Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock, the ceremony being performed by Dr. I.N. McCash, of the University Church of Christ. REV. HUBBELL and his bride arrived in Leon Tuesday noon and went at once to housekeeping in the HEBENER residence which MR. HUBBELL had remodeled and furnished ready for occupancy. During his residence in this city, Elder HUBBELL has endeared himself to not only the people of his church but to all our citizens. His bride was born and raised in this city, and needs no words of praise, being one of the most popular young ladies of this city, where all her life was spent until a few years ago when her mother moved to Des Moines to give her children an opportunity of attending college. Many friends of this estimable young couple extend hearty congratulations and wish them many years of wedded bliss.

Tuesday's Des Moines Capital has the following account of the wedding:

The marriage of MISS ELLA VERA HEBENER and MR. HARVEY HENRY HUBBELL of Leon, Iowa, was celebrated this morning at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's mother, MRS. I.A. HEBENER on Twenty-eighth Street. Thirty relatives and intimate friends were present. They were received by Mrs. Hebener, Miss Margaret Hurst of Leon, and Mr. Chas. Hebener, a brother of the bride. Autumn flowers and foliage were used in decorating the home, carrying out a color scheme of yellow and white. Miss Ida Hebener presided at the piano and played the wedding march from Lohengrin as the bride and groom took their places, unattended, before an embankment of palms in the west parlor. Dr. I.N. McCash performed the ceremony, using the ring service. The bride wore her traveling suit of brown cloth with white silk waist and carried cream roses. Miss Hebener played softly during the ceremony and at its conclusion a wedding breakfast was served. Two tables were arranged for the guests, the same color scheme, yellow and white, being served in the decorations. MR. and MRS. HUBBELL left this morning for their home in Leon, where the groom is Pastor of the Christian Church. He is a graduate of Drake University in the class of l902 and served in the Fifty-first regiment. The bride has also attended Drake and for the past two years has taught school in Dunlap, Iowa. Among the wedding guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hurst and son, Stephen, Miss Margaret Hurst, Mr. John Hurst, Mr. Harry Mayer, all of Leon; Mrs. W.A. Simpson and daughter, Marie, of Mt. Ayr; and Miss Allice Hubbell, of Howard, Kan.
