MR. CLAY HARRIS and MISS MAGGIE IRONSIDES were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Alexander in this city on Tuesday evening, June 5, l900, at eight o'clock, the ceremony being performed by Elder R.W. Castor, Pastor of the Christian Church.
Only the relatives and one or two intimate friends were present to witness the ceremony, and after the congratulations of those present, all sat down to a sumptuous wedding repast.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Harris; Misses Lou and Edith Harris; Mr. James Ironsides, Misses Mary and Grace Ironsides; Carrie Harris; Nellie, Edith and Ruth Hamilton and Mr. Harry Statzell.
The groom is the son of MR. and MRS. J.A. HARRIS and is associated with his father in the Leon Marble Works. He is an exemplary young man.
The bride is the daughter of MR. JAMES IRONSIDES, of Center Township, a most charming and worthy young lady.
MR. and MRS. CLAY HARRIS went the same evening to their cozy home, the new Morris Benefiel cottage in west Leon, which was all furnished throughout by the groom, ready for his bride. A host of friends extend hearty congratulations to this worthy young couple and wish them a long and prosperous married life.
