MR. MICHAEL GRIFFIN and MISS JENNIE GROGAN, both of Woodland Township, were married at the Woodland Catholic Church on Monday morning, Oct. 24th at 8 o'clock in the presence of a large number of admiring friends, Rev. Father Loftus officiating.

They were attended by MR. ED GRIFFIN and MISS KATIE GROGAN, brother and sister of the groom and bride. Immediately after the ceremony special mass was held for the newly wedded couple.

The bride was dressed in a very becoming costume of dark green Bayedere silk, trimmed in pearls, passamentary and lace. She carried Marchoneil roses. The bridesmaid was dressed in blue serge, trimmed in cream plush and braid, with soldier effects.

A wedding breakfast was prepared and served to the relatives and intimate friends at the residence of the bride's mother, MRS. KATHERINE GROGAN, l29 guests being served. In the evening a dance was given, attended by over l00 persons.

The groom is one of the thrifty young farmers and stock raisers of Woodland Township, where he owns a fine farm of several hundred acres, well improved and stocked. His bride is one of the noblest young ladies of Decatur County, who has made a reputation as one of our best school teachers. She has made friends of all her acquaintances and there is not a better liked young lady in the whole county. MR. and MRS. GRIFFIN will at once go to housekeeping on the old GRIFFIN homestead. Many warm friends extend heartiest congratulations to this worthy young couple, and wish them many years of health, wealth and prosperity.
