An event of an unusual degree of interest took place at the home of MR.and MRS. WM. BIGGS, on Wednesday morning Feb. l4, at l0 o'clock when WILLIAM ORVILLE GALPIN of Hamilton, Mo., and ELNORA BIGGS, of Leon, were united in marriage by the Rev. Joseph Stephen, Pastor of the M.E. Church. The wedding party were ushered into the presence of the friends to the strains of an inspiring wedding march, where a beautiful and impressive ceremony was performed. The bridegroom who was dressed in conventional black, is a bright and intelligent young banker; and the bride who was dressed in a handsome gown of yellow silk mull, is of pleasing and pre-possessing appearance, and one of the best young ladies of Leon -- a young lady of sterling morals and social qualities. After congratulations were over the guests were regaled with a sumptuous feast.

The happy young couple left for St. Joseph, enroute for their new home in Hamilton, Mo. We offer our heartiest congratulations and with a host of other friends, wish them "Bon Voyage" over the ocean of life.

MR. and MRS. GALPIN were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents.
