Yesterday at high noon at the elegant country home of DR. and MRS. BENJAMIN D. DEKALB, occurred the marriage of their youngest daughter, MISS ROSE ESTELLE to DR. LUCIUS JOHNSON LANDES.

The ceremony was witnessed by a number of the intimate friends of the contracting parties. The bride and groom were unattended and while the bride's sister, MISS HELENE rendered Mendelsohnn's wedding march they descended from the second floor and took their places under a flowery canopy between the south parlor windows, where Rev. Geo. M. Hughes, Pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Corydon, pronounced the holy words which forever bound them together.

The bride was becomingly attired in a costume of pearl white duchess satin, plain but elegant, with high neck and long sleeves. She carried bride's roses.

The house was prettily decorated with roses, chrysanthemums and ferns.

Immediately after the ceremony an elaborate wedding breakfast was served in the dining room and then the happy couple were driven to Grand River where DR. LANDES has a cozy cottage all furnished ready for his bride and they will go to housekeeping at once, being "at home" to their friends after Dec. lst.

The groom is one of the brightest young physicians in the State of Iowa, enjoying an extensive practice at Grand River where he has been located ever since he graduated from college, and has won an enviable reputation as a skillful and successful physician. Added to this he enjoys the friendship of scores, and by his gentlemanly conduct and congenial manner has added to the list until his friends are numbered by his acquaintances.

The bride is the youngest daughter of DR. and MRS. B.D. DEKALB, born and raised on the farm where she has married. She is a charming young lady, handsome and accomplished and fitted to grace the home of any man.

Many friends extend hearty congratulations to this young couple who have started on the voyage of life under such auspices (sic) circumstances. May the sun of prosperity always shine upon them, the pathway of life be strewn with choicest flowers, and the journey be one protracted unceasing honeymoon.
