At the home of the bride's parents, MR. and MRS. A.J. BELLIS, in north Leon, at high noon yesterday occurred a quiet home wedding, the contracting parties being MR. O.T. CONREY and MISS LULU BELLIS, the ceremony being performed by Rev. I.N. Woodward, Pastor of the M.E. Church, only the immediate relatives being present.

The bride is one of the most beautiful and lovable young ladies of Leon and on this occasion looked charming in a beautiful tailor made caster traveling costume, carrying a bouquet of bride's roses. She is one of the most popular young ladies of Leon, graduating with honors with the class of '99 from the Leon High School, and for several years has been head saleslady at the store of Biggs & Co., by her pleasant smile and courteous manners making friends of all who knew her.

The groom is one of the coming young business men of the city, the son of MR. and MRS. J.R. CONREY, and was born and raised in this city, where he has justly earned a reputation for sterling integrity, industrious and upright. He was deputy postmaster for a number of years and was a favorite with all the patrons of the office. He is now occupying a responsible position in the Bee Hive General Store.

The happy young couple left on the afternoon train for Ottumwa, where they will visit a few days and expect to go to housekeeping upon their return. The hearty congratulations of every resident of Leon is extended to this worthy young couple, with the wish that they may have a long, happy and prosperous journey through life.

Miss Bessie Alford, of Albia, and Messrs. Charles Bellis and Ben Shearer, of St. Joe, were the out of town guests.
