BURRELL ITEMS:

CLARENCE SPRINGER has closed his store in Terre Haute for the present and gone into the livery business in Lamoni.

FRANK SUTHERLIN had a small funeral all by himself last Sunday, when he buried one of his horses.

MEL COHENOUR helped JOHN MYERS break a wild colt last Sunday.

CHAUNCY HAINDEL has got settled on the SEYBOLT farm at last.

PHILIP SMITH's neighbors and relatives helped him celebrate his 69th birthday, Sunday. His two daughters Mesdames HAINDEL and WILL SHOEMAKER got up an excellent dinner for him which all helped him get away with. Your humble servant, not being used to victuals, was foundered.

WILL SHOEMAKER's horses got out of his pasture and across the river into MCCULLY's ditch. When he found them one was almost out of sight in the mud and they had to use rope and pulleys to get it out.
