At Fairfield last Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Rev. GEORGE G. BRUCE, of Garden Grove, and MISS ELIZABETH DAVIS were united in marriage, the ceremony being performed by Rev. H.O. Spelman. The groom is a Decatury County boy who has just graduated from the McCormick Theological Seminary at Chicago. After visiting a few days with the groom's mother at Garden Grove they will return to Fairfield for a short visit and then go to New York and will sail the latter part of August from San Francisco for Canton, China, to enter the mission field, REV. BRUCE being sent to China as a missionary from the Lake View Presbyterian Church of Chicago. Many friends of the groom in this county where his boyhood days were spent, extend hearty congratulations and wish them a safe voyage and return.
