BROWN - ASHBURN At the home of the bride's parents, near Tuskeega, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe ASHBURN, at high noon, Wednesday of last week, was solemnized the marriage of Benjamin BROWN and Armetta ASHBURN. Rev. S. HARVEY, of the Tuskeega U. B. Church, officiating. The young couple took their places before the pastor. Miss Gail BALLINGER played the march. The groom wore the conventional black, while the bride was attired in beautiful white silk mull.
Following the ceremony, the sixty-five guests were seated to partake of a sumptuous repast. Many beautiful and useful presents were left with the hearty congratulations of the entire company.
The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. George V. BROWN, residing one mile north of Lamoni. He is a young man of sterling quality; the bride is a worthy young lady and will make him a noble helpmate. They are "at home" on the farm of the groom, north of Lamoni.
