A very pretty home wedding occurred in north Leon, Monday evening, Feb. l6, l903, at the residence of MR. and MRS. JOHN VAN DERLEY, at which time their daughter, MISS HARRIET R. VAN DERLEY was united in marriage with MR. RALPH E. BRANT, of Humeston, Iowa, Rev. I.N. Woodward, of the M.E. Church officiating. The out of town guests were Mrs. C. Wolverton, Miss Harriett McKibben, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Humeston, and Mrs. E.J. Tayler and children, all of Humeston; Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Gray and children, of Chariton; and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Brant, of High Point. Many beautiful and valuable presents were received by them. An exceedingly substantial and excellent wedding supper was skillfully and tastefully served. The newly married couple left on the early train Tuesday morning for western Colorado where the groom will engage in the general merchandise business. The very best wishes of a host of intimate friends and relatives is extended to MR. and MRS. BRANT.
