Married, at the home of D.B. Newlin in Woodland on Wednesday, Feb. l, l905, MISS MARY NEWLIN, of Woodland, and MR. JACKSON BIXLER, of Corning, Iowa, Rev. T.E. Glendenning officiating.
MR. BIXLER is a man honored and respected by all who know him. He is a farmer and the location and improvements of his farm bespeaks him a successful one. He is a member of the M.E. Church, where his work is known and appreciated.
MISS NEWLIN is one of Woodland's best girls and has always commanded the respect of the community in which she lived as a child. She has been a member of the Advent Church since a girl of fifteen, and her life has always been an honor to the church she loved. It is with saddened hearts the church and community see her leave for Corning to make her future home, and we only hope her influence and work may be as helpful to the community to which she goes as it has been to the one she leaves.
After the ceremony a bountiful repast was served to about fifty guests. The happy couple received the following presents as a mark of the esteem in which they are held:
Table linen, S.B. Goin.
Fruit dish, Mrs. J.B. Goin.
Covered dish, Mrs. Jane Lentz.
Bedspread, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Alley.

Towels, Mrs. A.P. Coontz.
