MR. ALVIS BELL and MISS NELLIE ELSTON were united in marriage last Wednesday evening, Nov. 22, at 8 o'clock, at the home of the bride's uncle, SID ELSTON, Mayor Shoemaker officiating. The bride was attired in a pale blue dress trimmed in white satin and carried a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. The groom wore the conventional black with a white geranium in his buttonhole.
The bride is the oldest daughter of GEO. ELSTON and has many friends in Davis City. She is a very pleasant, agreeable young lady, and until about a year ago, has been her father's housekeeper. The groom is a member of the firm of Scott & Bell, Blacksmiths, and is an honorable, upright young man. After the ceremony an excellent supper was served. The only guests present, except the relatives of the young couple, were: Mrs. J.W. Valentine and Miss Helen, Mrs. Frank Bullock and daughter, Junia, and Mrs. J.H. Kling.
MR.and MRS. BELL went to housekeeping the next day in the Val Spargur property north of the school house, which was all ready for their occupancy. We wish them much joy and happiness through life.
