Tonight on No. 5, MISS JESS LEORA BEDIER will leave this city, in company with MRS. T.C. HICKMAN, mother of her future husband, and MRS. HENRY FAHRMEYER, her sister, for Nampa, Ida. At that place, these three will be met by MR. CARDWELL HICKMAN, to whom on Sunday in Boise City, MISS BEDIER will be married. The young people will make their home at Boise City, where MR. HICKMAN has a position with a wholesale grocery house. MRS. T.C. HICKMAN and MRS. FAHRMEYER will be absent from here about two weeks.
MISS BEDIER will leave behind her tonight, hosts of devoted and admiring friends, all of whom are as one in wishing her and her husband-to-be the completest measure of happiness and prosperity. During the four years that this young lady has spent in Grand Junction she has always figured with prominence in social circles. She possesses certain admirable traits inherited from her French ancestors that have made her company highly attractive. A ready conversationalist, she is never at a loss for a good answer or a ready reply. In appearance she is most pleasing, being the owner of a handsome face and a graceful figure.
Already many splendid gifts have been received by MISS BEDIER. Her parents who reside in Leon, Iowa, have sent her a check for $l,000, the equal of which was given to each of the other daughters when they were wedded; not to mention a complete outfit of linen, and numerous costly and elegant articles of wearing apparel. From other relatives and friends she has received pieces of cut glass and many useful presents for the equipment of a home. Her wardrobe is one of which a lady may be proud. Two of her gowns are to arrive from the east. One of these is of blue zibeline, made military style, with strappings of white broadcloth and lined with white satin.
The new MR. and MRS. HICKMAN will not go to housekeeping at once but will board the first few weeks.
