On Wednesday at the residence of HIRAM EWING occurred the wedding of JOHN R. ALLEN of Lamoni to LUCY A. EWING of our city, Elder H.A. Stebbens of Lamoni, officiating.

The groom is quite well known to our young people, having been a frequent visitor to our town for the past year; and at Lamoni where he has made his home and where he is well and favorably known.

The bride is the oldest daughter of MR. and MRS. HIRAM EWING, she is a young lady of good standing and her gentle ways have won for her a strong circle of friends who regret to lose her from their midst.

MR. and MRS. ALLEN are at home on their farm near Lamoni.

We wish them much joy and happiness.
