At the residence of G.W. ROBERTS in Eden Township, in the presence of a number of relatives and friends, MR. W.H. AKES and MISS NORA SHEPERD were united in marriage last Wednesday evening, the ceremony being performed by Rev. C.W. Reeder of Leon. After the ceremony a splendid wedding supper was served by MRS. ROBERTS. The groom is one of the splendid young men of Decatur County, being a son of HENRY AKES, and was born and raised to manhood in this vicinity. The bride is a popular young lady of Decatur City and well qualified to make a good helpmate for the husband of her choice. The happy young couple will go to housekeeping at once on the Ryan farm north of Leon. Their many friends all over the county extend hearty congratulations and wish them much happiness. May their joy increase as the years roll by.
